Thai Orchids Lab can tailor individualized tissue culture services to suit your specific needs.
Whether it is to bulk up on a plant, or to confidentially propagate an incredible plant to take
the market by storm, Thai Orchids Lab can help you achieve your micropropagation goals.
How it Works
- Identify the plant(s) to propagate - We ask the client to send us stock plants for tissue culture.
This ensures that the plants we produce are exactly what you are looking for. Occasionally, we can help
source the plants as required by the clients.
- Initiation - Meristem (growth portion) of the plant needs to be cleaned and put into culture. Media is prepared
and a close eye is kept on the plants to ensure that no contamination occurs.
- Multiplication - Clean culture is then put into multiplicatoin media to increase stock. Conditions
in the laboratory are optimized for multiplication.
- Production - Once a multiplication protocol is assured, then production can commence. Plants that are ready for
shipipng is rooted and sent by freight.
- Shipping - Plants are air freighted to ports around the world. A freight forwarder clears the plants through
regulatory bodies (US: USDA & customs). Import permits are required on the part of the client; we take care
of the required paperwork for each shipment. We have a network of freight forwarders that we work with and can assist
in putting you in contact with them.
